Polemos - 6mm Russians

Emily retrieved some new toys from the Post Office box just in time for me to indulge in a long Easter weekend of hobbyness; some Vallejo 'Model Air' paints for the airbrush and a box of Polemos 6mm Napoleonic figures (Russian and French starter armies).

The box of goodies arrive!

To my delight the Model Air paint runs like a dream through the airbrush. I was able to get all of the Russians undercoated in a Light Grey primer in only a few minutes - although it took much longer than that to setup and pack away the equipment!

6mm figures are very small!
(Perhaps I should have clipped my nails prior to becoming a hand model)

After a light blast of grey I settled in to apply the first splash of colour - some Dark Angels Green from Citadel for the Russian coats. Once this is all done I'll go back and apply white to the pants and belts and black to the boots and hats which will bring them up to a standard forgivable for gaming. If motivation endures I will come back for some flesh tone on the hands and faces and perhaps a little brown on the gun stocks. It sounds like a lot of work but the figures are so tiny they can be painted quickly.
